Lou Ann has been integrating healing and bodywork specialties for over 30 years. Her innovative approach combines traditional therapeutic massage, world renowned state of the art Applied Physiology and B.E.S.T. with nine years of post-graduate, university level studies in esoteric science.
Lou Ann started her career path at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology. She became interested in bodywork in 1978 through a back injury. This introduced her to the art and science of Chiropractic.
She was intrigued by the idea that the body can heal itself when interference is removed. This led to professional training at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa where, after completing a year-long course, she became a chiropractic technician.
Lou Ann was so inspired with anatomy and physiology, and so in awe at the complex and perfect design of the human body, that she chose to continue her study with a 1200-hour program at Phoenix Therapeutic Massage College. She received her license to practice massage in 1982. It was during this program that the idea of "energy work" started to surface. Muscle monitoring, the acupuncture system and how the physical body is affected by working with the subtler etheric body became her focus.
This led to training in Touch for Health, a world-renowned system developed by Dr. John Thie. She "went all the way" in this training through Touch for Health I, II, III, and instructor training in San Diego, California in 1983. She taught TFH classes for awhile but found something missing until she discovered a more advanced system built on the TFH foundation, called Applied Physiology. She completed this training, as well, and became an Applied Physiologist in 1989.
Lou Ann continues to update her training in Applied Physiology based on the continued research by its founder Richard Utt. (See: What is Applied Physiology?) She became a certified Stress Observation Specialist in 1992, and completed Utt's newest certification, S.A.L.T. Bath training, in 2003.
In 1996 her search for "all the pieces" led her to Ageless Wisdom University in Scottsdale, Arizona. Her commitment to this university is the foundation and the synergetic link to bring all her disciplines together. Ageless Wisdom University offers the disciplined study of the spiritual link binding all humanity together. Lou Ann firmly believes that this is the driving force behind all healing. The wisdom of this teaching has given all her prior studies meaning and purpose. After nine years, Lou Ann has completed her Bachelors, Masters and her Ph.D. in Spirituality in Health & Education through Ageless Wisdom University.
After a 28 year affinity with an energetic body work treatment procedure called B.E.S.T. ( Bio-Energetic-Synchronization-Technique - See: Morter Health System). Lou Ann was able to study and become certified in this phenominal procedure. She now adds this powerful treatment to her "tool-chest" to isolate and apply the most effective treatment for the fastest results for each individual client.
Currently, Lou Ann offers custom classes integrating her 30+ years of multi-dimensional study into practical, simple ways to improve the quality of your life on all levels; physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually.
